Window Interiors, a top specialty subcontractor, acquired Division Ten Specialties Incorporated (www.division-ten.com), a subcontractor that provides commercial specialty items and finishing accessories.
Window Interiors is now offering Division Ten’s services in the Orlando and Tampa markets and will expand to South Florida in 2018.
Division Ten Specialties, which was based in Apopka, provides and installs construction specialty items, such as bathroom partitions and accessories, lockers, fire extinguishers and wall and door protection.
Window Interiors President Dave Riley said the acquisition is a natural extension of Window Interiors’ services and of the company’s Best Practices model.
“Our goal is to be the contractor of choice for commercial specialties in Florida,” he said. “With the acquisition of Division Ten, we have become a one-stop shop for our commercial construction customers.”
Riley added Division Ten and Window Interiors have both worked for many of the same major contractors, and because of the acquisition, those contractors will soon have one point of contact and streamlined installations for both scopes of work.
In addition to new business for Window Interiors, the expanded services will also mean additional jobs. Executive Vice President Bob Robinson said he expects to add three to five people in the next year just to service the Orlando and Tampa markets.
The terms of the acquisition were not announced.
Window Interiors, which provides commercial window treatment solutions, received the 2016 Associated Builders and Contractors Subcontractor Award of Excellence and was ranked in the 2015 and 2016 ENR Southeast Top 100 Specialty Subcontractor list.
