Interior Specialties handles Division 10 for UCF’s Celeste Hotel

With nearly 70,000 students, Florida’s largest university dominates east Orlando. The University of Central Florida’s bustling campus is the hub for a wide variety of events beyond the usual classes, from conferences and career fairs to sporting events and more. All of that activity means a huge flow of guests and visitors—but where do they stay?

Until now, the closest option was off-campus. Interior Specialties was proud to join DEVEN Group, Demetree Global and Pinnacle Hotel Management to help provide an essential addition with UCF’s first on-campus lodging—The Celeste Hotel.

The 179-room, five-story establishment offers more than 10,000 square feet of conference and event space, as well as a wide range of amenities, including an in-house restaurant, lobby bar and an outdoor pool. The hotel’s design concept pulls from UCF’s history with space exploration, featuring everything from art that pays tribute to ancient navigational devices to a wall displaying model rockets and even celestial-themed artwork done by UCF students. The hotel, located at 4105 N. Alafaya Trail, is part of the Marriot brand.

It is truly a bright star for the entire area, and we were incredibly proud to work with general contractor Batson-Cook to handle Division 10 needs on this project. As part of our work, we added toilet accessories and partitions, along with lockers for guests to secure their belongings.

At the entrance, we furnished the hotel’s flagpole to fly its banner. Our final contribution to the boutique hotel was focused on safety and longevity, as we furnished and installed fire extinguishers and wall protection.

With decades of experience in the construction industry, we at Interior Specialties pride ourselves on getting the job done right the first time and taking issues off the GC’s plate. We enjoy applying our deep expertise in specialty construction to take the reins on projects like this by furnishing all necessary labor, tools, equipment, management, scheduling, quality control and more.

We are proud to see this finished product, and we know the Celeste Hotel will serve the UCF community and beyond with out-of-this-world service.
